It's used to lock the converter in place during transmission removal and installation. Refer to Repair Manual section 24 00 023 for details.

They're used in conjunction with Transmission stand 83 30 0 490 133 (002 030) to support the front axle carrier during removal and installation. Refer to Repair Manual section 31 11 506 for details.

Modification of the following previously distributed tools will allow them to be utilized on the E90 and E91.

Pin Spanner Wrench

Remove the handle (1) from the tool and file the tool until smooth.

This tool is used to loosen and tighten the gear lever bearing during the removal and installation of the gear lever.

Separating Fork

Order PN 83 30 0 491 984

Remove 3.25 mm from the outer contour of the tool, reducing the dimension from 9.25 mm to 6 mm. This fork tool is used to separate the output shaft from the front axle differential.
