SUBJECT
Fuel Consumption Display - Visual Change After Programming
SITUATION
When the vehicle is being programmed with ISTA/P 2.44.0 or higher, the fuel consumption display in the instrument cluster will have a thin yellow line above the red area of the fuel consumption display.
CAUSE
This was a design change introduced with model year 2012 vehicles (09/2011), and will be retrofitted into earlier produced vehicles when programmed.
PROCEDURE
Do not replace parts and do not attempt to perform a repair!
Inform the customer of the change to the display.
NOTE:
It is not possible to perform programming without this changeover taking place.
It is also not possible to reverse this changeover.
