SITUATION

Distribution of the following tools will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools may be purchased through your Regional Distribution Center (RDC).

Injector Remover

Order P/N 83 30 0 496 885

NOTE: At the time of publication, stocking quantity of this tool is short. Tools will be sent out to centers when they arrive.

The injector remover is used to remove and install the fuel injectors.

Seal Tool

This tool is used to install the front crankshaft seal.

Oil Pressure Test Adapter Lid

Order P/N 83 30 2 212 823

The oil pressure test adapter lid (1) is used in conjunction with the 100-bar IMIB pressure transducer or pressure gauge 133 061 (part of kit 83 30 0 491 259) to measure the oil pressure at the oil filter housing. For complete details, refer to ISTA Repair Manual section 11 40 000.

Locating Pin

This tool is used to locate top dead center on the counterbalance shaft for the oil pump.

Seal Tool

This tool is used to install the rear crankshaft seal. The seal tool is used in conjunction with previously distributed seal installation tool 119 181 (119 180 - 83 30 0 493 881, B04 01 06 ).

VANOS Locking Tool

This tool is used to fix the VANOS impulse wheel in top dead center position.

Camshaft Locking Tool

This tool is used to fix the camshaft in top dead center position.

Alignment Pin

The alignment pin is used to fix the engine flywheel at top dead center.

Oil Spray Nozzle Fixture

The oil spray nozzle fixture is used to properly position the crankcase oil spray nozzles.

Pressure Fixture

The pressure fixture tool is used to check the engine cylinder head for leaks.
