Trunk Lid Does Not Operate with Remote After Programming 

SITUATION

If the customer profile is assigned to only unlock the driver door after programming with ISTA/P 3.55.x, the trunk will not open with the remote.

CAUSE

Coding error in CAS (Car Access System) for trunk locking

PROCEDURE

Replacing a part will not  rectify the problem. The software correction will be introduced with ISTA/P 3.56.0 or higher, to be released in July 2015 and with I-Level F001-15-07-500 or higher.

If the above situation is present after programming, change the customer profile to unlock all doors. Next, lock/unlock the vehicle with the remote and recheck the trunk opening operation.

Before releasing the vehicle to the customer, inform him/her about the change made to the vehicle.

If the customer accepts the change made to the vehicle until the software release in July 2015, the vehicle can be released.

In critical cases where the customer does not accept the change, submit a PuMA case with contact information for IRAP support.

Always connect a BMW approved battery charger/power supply  (SI B 04 23 10  ).
