SUBJECT

Cell Module Charger

SITUATION

Distribution of the following tool through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program is complete. Additional units may be purchased through the RDC.

When servicing the High-voltage Battery, the state of charge (SOC) of the new Cell Module must match the SOC of the original (not replaced) Cell Modules. This may require either charging or discharging of the new Cell Module.

The Cell Module Charger must only be used on a single (1) High-voltage (HV) battery module at a time. Single modules must always be charged on a suitable non-conductive surface before being installed in the battery housing.

Periodically, the Owner's Manual may be updated with new information. The latest version Owner's Manual may be downloaded and printed from TIS. Follow the path below.

If during normal operation of the cell module charger a "Password" or "Start Code" is required input "GO".

IMPORTANT: Only properly trained personnel, who have passed all applicable technical training courses, should perform any maintenance or repairs on any Hybrid or Electric Vehicle. Work performed by unqualified persons may result in severe injury or damage to the vehicle. Additional information may be found in REP 61 00...
