SITUATION

Check Control message: Oil pressure warning. Stop carefully is displayed. There are no related faults to oil pressure stored in the DDE.

CAUSE

Unfavorable DDE software application

When operating during automatic engine start-stop function stop, it may be the case that the oil pressure is incorrectly determined to be too low, which triggers a CC message.

CORRECTION

Reprogram vehicle.

PROCEDURE

  1. Perform diagnosis with the latest version of ISTA.
  2. Program the vehicle using ISTA/P 3.56.0 or higher.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.

Always connect a BMW approved battery charger/power supply (SI B 04 23 10  ).

61 00 730 Refer to KSD2 Programming / encoding control unit(s)

If you are using a Main labor code for another repair, use the Plus code labor operation 00 00 556 instead.

Refer to KSD2 for the corresponding flat rate unit (FRU) allowances.
