DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC) FAULT MEMORY ENTRIES AFTER PROGRAMMING

SITUATION
After programming, the following fault code entries can be entered in the DSC fault memory:
0xD35F3B - D-OBD 1 - ICM or ACSM - OBD-diagnostic status message timeout
0xD35F3F - D-OBD 2 - LMV - OBD-diagnostic status message timeout
0xD35F42 - D-OBD 3 - EPS - OBD-diagnostic status message timeout
CAUSE
DSC software: Due to an unfavorable state change (parking - residing - driving) this erroneous fault can occur in the DSC control unit.
CORRECTION
These fault memory entries cannot be deleted.
PROCEDURE
Perform a test drive before handing the vehicle over to the customer.
If no MIL light illuminates, no further repair is necessary and the vehicle can be returned to the customer:
- The fault memory entries will be deleted after a defined number of trouble-free driving cycles.
If there is a real fault, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) will light up:
- In this case the vehicle must be repaired. Follow the diagnosis test plan instructions.
PARTS INFORMATION
Parts replacement will not provide a remedy to this situation if no MIL light is illuminated.
