Removing and installing/replacing front compression strut
IMPORTANT:
Driving without
compression struts is not permitted!
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove fuel tank under-ride guard.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 33 33 2AZ .
Release screw (3).
Tightening torque 33 33 3AZ .
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 33 33 1AZ .
Remove compression strut (4).
Secure rear axle support by inserting screw (2).
Installation note:
Check threads for damage; if necessary, repair with Helicoil thread inserts.
