Engine Identification
Second letter in production code number identifies engine displacement and equipment. Production code number is located on right side of crankcase and can be viewed between exhaust manifold branches (225" V6, 300" & 340" V8), adjacent to vehicle identification number on front of block to the right of thermostat housing (400", 401", 425", VB). Code letters used as follows:
