NOTE: This system has redesigned Control Assembly and related changes from system used on previous models.

The 1969 Buick automatic temperature control system utilizes the same basic refrigeration and air conditioner system used on these same car models with manual  control. System on all models is of same design with same basic components although components are located differently on the different models. Control consists of a thermo-mechanical system with two bi-metal Sensors located in a Thermostatic Vacuum Regulator (TVR) which operates a Piloted Vacuum Actuator (PVA) to regulate blower speed and operate the various system air doors.
