Stator Grounds

To check stator for grounds, set ohmmeter on x1000 scale. Connect one ohmmeter lead to stator frame and other lead to each stator lead. See Figure. The resistance reading should be infinity. If resistance is not as specified, stator is grounded and must be replaced.
