DTC B2613: Dim Potentiometer Circuit High: Testing
- If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Use scan tool to check for current DTCs. If DTC B2559 is also set as current, go to DTC B2559: THEATER DIMMING GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN) . If DTC B2559 is not set as current, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM connectors C2 and C3. Turn ignition on. Use DVOM to measure voltage between BCM connector C2 terminal B1 (White wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . See Figure . If reading is less than 2 volts, go to next step. If reading is greater than 2 volts, go to step 5 .
- Reconnect all disconnected connectors and components. Turn ignition on. Turn dimmer switch to DOME position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Recheck for DTCs. If DTC B2613 resets, go to step 6 . If DTC B2613 does not reset, go to step 7 .
- Repair short to voltage in White wire between BCM and courtesy lights. After repairs, go to step 8 .
- Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram BCM. See NEW BCM SETUP under PROGRAMMING. Go to step 8 .
- System is operating properly at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . After any repairs are made, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If any DTCs are current, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS. If no DTCs are current, system is operating properly.
