Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the rear suspension support in place.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE
  2. Install the rear wheel spindle rod-to-rear suspension support bolts and nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 140 N.m (103 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear suspension support mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

  4. Position the rear wheel spindle rod to the knuckle. Install the retaining bolts and nuts to the knuckle.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 150 N.m (110 lb ft).

  5. Install the stabilizer shaft to the rear suspension support. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Replacement 
  6. Connect the brake lines to the rear suspension support. Refer to REAR BRAKE HOSE in Hydraulic Brakes.
  7. Install the parking brake cables and the tensioner. Refer to PARK BRAKE CABLE .
  8. Install the exhaust pipe. Refer to MUFFLER REPLACEMENT in Engine Exhaust.
  9. Install the Tires and Wheels. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Adjust the rear wheel alignment. For wheel alignment specifications, refer toINTRIGUE in Wheel Alignment.
