30-Minute Relearn Procedure
NOTE:
This procedure is not available on vehicles equipped with Z49 option code.
NOTE:
When replacing a VTD module with GM SPO Replacement Part, set up VTD module prior to 10-minute or 30-minute relearn procedures.
- Using master key (Black), turn ignition switch to ON position.
- Observe SECURITY indicator light. After about 10 minutes, indicator light will turn off.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait 5 seconds.
- Repeat steps 1 - 3 two more times for total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes.
- Using master key, start vehicle. Vehicle has now learned key transponder information and PCM has now learned fuel continue password.
- Using scan tool, clear any DTCs.
NOTE:
Vehicle learns key transponder information and/or passwords on ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK positions. Turn ignition switch to OFF position before attempting to start vehicle.
