DTC B3527: Window Lock-Out Switch Circuit Low: Testing

  1. If DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK has been performed, go to next step. If DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK has not been performed, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Connect scan tool. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, observe WINDOW LOCKOUT SW parameter in DDM INPUTS list. If scan tool does not display INACTIVE, go to step  4 . If scan tool displays INACTIVE, go to next step.
  3. Activate window lockout switch. Using scan tool, observe WINDOW LOCKOUT SW parameter. If window lockout switch parameter changes state, problem is intermittent. Check for poor connections and damage to wiring harness. If window lockout switch parameter does not change state, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Driver Door Switch Assembly (DDSA). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, observe WINDOW LOCKOUT SW parameter. If scan tool displays INACTIVE, go to step  6 . If scan tool does not display INACTIVE, go to next step.
  5. Check DDM harness connector for poor connections. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary and go to step  9 . If connections are okay, go to step  7 .
  6. Check DDSA harness connector for poor connections. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary and go to step  9 . If connections are okay, go to step  8 .
  7. Replace DDM. See DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to step  9 .
  8. Replace DDSA. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  9. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle within conditions for running DTC. See CODE ENABLE CRITERIA  . If DTC resets, go to step  2 . If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
