Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fender to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolts to the fender at the front compartment side rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts to the fender at the rocker panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the bolts to the fender at the door hinge pillar.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the bolts to the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  6. Install the washer solvent container (right fender). Refer to Washer Solvent Container Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  7. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .
  8. Install the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement .
  9. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  10. Install the rocker finish panel. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel .
  11. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb and/or Cornering, Sidemarker, Park, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  12. Install the body side molding, if required. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side in Exterior Trim.
