Removal Procedure
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT (L36)
or DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT (L67)
in Engine Mechanical-3.8 L.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE
.
- Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
- Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.

- Disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the power steering pump.
- Remove the anti-lock brake wiring harness bracket.

- Remove the right outer tie rod retaining nut (3).

- Using J 24319-B remove the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle.
- Remove the right outer tie rod from the steering knuckle.

- Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts.

- Remove the power steering pump.
- Remove the power steering pulley as necessary. Refer to POWER STEERING PULLEY REPLACEMENT
.
- Remove the power steering pump reservoir as necessary. Refer to POWER STEERING RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT-OFF VEHICLE (CB SERIES)
