Removal Procedure
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (L36)
in Engine Mechanical - 3.8 L.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Install a drain pan under the vehicle.

- Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.

- Disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the power steering pump.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
in Engine Cooling.

- Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts.
- Remove the power steering pump.
- Transfer the power steering pulley as needed. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement .
