Class 2 Serial Data Line

The class 2 serial data communications circuit on this vehicle is in a star configuration. This configuration has 3 splice packs, located as follows:

• The splice pack - SP205 located near the data link connector
• The splice pack - SP206 located under the steering column
• The splice pack - SP207 located under the LH cowl panel

There is also a direct redundant class 2 serial data circuit between body control module (BCM) and powertrain control module (PCM).

The following modules communicate on the class 2 serial data circuit:

• Splice pack - SP205 attaches to:
  • The BCM
  • The driver door module (DDM)
  • The electronic brake control module (EBCM)
  • The electronic suspension control (ESC) module, w/ZM6
  • The HVAC control module
  • The instrument panel cluster (IPC)
  • The passenger door module (PDM)
  • The PCM
  • The radio
  • The transfer case shift control module (TCSCM)
• Splice pack - SP206 attaches to:
  • The digital radio receiver (DRR), w/U2K
  • The rear seat audio (RSA) controller
  • The vehicle communication interface module (VCIM), w/UE1
• Splice pack - SP207 attaches to DSM and SDM.
  • Inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM)
