Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transaxle oil level indicator.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (3.1L) in Engine Exhaust.

  4. Remove the fluid filler tube bracket bolt.
  5. Remove the fluid filler tube.
