Removal Procedure
- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Remove the screws from the air cleaner top cover.
- Remove the air cleaner top cover.
- Carefully remove the PCM from the air cleaner housing and carefully position the PCM aside protecting the PCM from electrostatic discharge and/or impact.
- Remove the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement .
- Remove the screws securing the air cleaner assembly to the radiator support.
- Remove the nut, if equipped, from the stud on the inner fender.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly from the engine compartment.
IMPORTANT:
When removing or installing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) the ignition must be turned off.
