Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: When ordering new fuel injectors, order the correct injector for the application being serviced.

The fuel injector (1) is stamped with a part number identification (2), a manufacturing date (3), a week code (1) and a production plant number (4).

  1. Lubricate the NEW O-ring seals with clean engine oil
  2. Install the NEW fuel injector upper O-ring seals (2) onto the injectors.
  3. Install the NEW fuel injector lower O-ring seals (4) onto the injectors.
  4. Install the fuel injectors (3).
  5. Install the fuel injector retainers (1).
  6. Install the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement .
