Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear seat belt retractor in the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
    IMPORTANT: Be sure to seat the alignment tabs.

  2. Install the rear seat belt retractor bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 68 N.m (50 lb ft).

  3. If installing the center retractor, pass the seat belt through the bezel opening and install the belt bezel.
  4. Return the rear sound barrier to its installed position. Refer to Sound Barrier Replacement - Rear Seat Back .

  5. Install the rear seat belt retractor anchor bolt to the floor pan.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

  6. Install the rear window trim panel to its installed position. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement .
