Installation Procedure

  1. Install the window channel retainer to the door.
  2. Install the new 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer.
  3. Install the bolt (3) to the window channel retainer (2).
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .

    Install the front door window weatherstrip by working it around the door frame. Ensure that the weatherstrip is fully seated into the window channel retainer.

  5. Inspect the window for proper operation.
  6. Install the front door frame applique. Refer to Front Door Frame Applique Replacement .
  7. Install the front door inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner .
  8. Install the outside mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  9. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
