Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (3.8L)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (3.6L) .

  2. Disconnect the battery positive cable from the battery.

  3. Remove the battery retainer bolt and battery retainer.
  4. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
  5. Remove the battery heat shield. Refer to Battery Heat Shield Replacement (3.6L) .
