Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator.
  2. Install the generator upper bolt until snug.

  3. Install the generator lower bolts until snug.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Tighten the generator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the positive battery cable terminal to the generator.
  6. Install the positive battery cable terminal nut at the generator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  7. Position the positive battery cable boot at the generator terminal.

  8. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the generator.
  9. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  10. Position the engine into the normal location and install the engine mount strut bolts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .
  11. Position and connect the windshield wiper transmission link in front of the wiper motor. Refer to Wiper Motor Module Replacement .
  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
