Installation Procedure

  1. Install the KS.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the KS bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the KS bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).

  3. Install the KS electrical connector.

  4. Install the crankshaft position sensor lower heat shield bolts.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the crankshaft position sensor lower heat shield M6 bolt (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    • Tighten the crankshaft position sensor lower heat shield M10 bolt (2) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Raise the frame.

  6. Install the bolts which secure the rear frame to the body.
  7. Install the rear frame bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 160 N.m (118 lb ft).

  8. Remove jack from under frame.
  9. Connect the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement .
  10. Install the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  11. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
  12. Lower the vehicle.
