Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to VEHICLE LIFTING CAUTION .

Remove the right exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (3.8L) or Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (RPO LY7) .
Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector (1).

IMPORTANT: Clean the area around the CKP before removal in order to avoid debris from entering the engine.
