Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector of the ECM. Verify that there is less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuit X2 terminal 73 and the negative battery terminal.
- If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, test for 11-14 volts between the ECM battery positive voltage circuits X2 terminals 13 and 18, and the ground circuit X2 terminal 73.
- If not within the specified range, test the battery positive voltage circuits for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the ECM.
