Preliminary Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement

Generator Procedure
- Reposition the generator output battery terminal protective boot.
- Remove the generator output battery terminal nut.
Tighten
13 N.m (115 lb in)
- Remove the generator output battery Cable from the generator.
- Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
