Preliminary Procedures Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement . Remove the shift lever. Refer to Shift Lever Replacement .
1	Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Actuator Procedure Use the appropriate tool to remove the automatic transmission shift lock actuator.
2	Automatic Transmission Control Bolt (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
3	Automatic Transmission Control Procedure Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the OFF-LOCK position and remove the park lock cable from the ignition lock cylinder case. After the automatic transmission control has been installed the automatic transmission shift lock actuator may need to be adjusted. Refer to Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control Actuator Replacement (Column Shift) .
