Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Fig 1: Fuel Feed Pipe Quick Connect Fitting And Evaporative Emission Pipe

  3. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting (1) and the evaporative emission pipe (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service , and Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Remove the fuel tank protector. Refer to Fuel Tank Protector Replacement .
  6. Remove the fuel feed pressure sensor. Refer to Fuel Pressure Sensor Replacement - Fuel Feed Pipe .

  8. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting (1) and the evaporative emission pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  9. Plug or cap the fuel feed pipe to prevent fuel loss or contamination.
  10. Disconnect the brake pipes from the plastic retainers.

  12. Remove the fuel feed and evaporative emission pipes (1) as an assembly from the vehicle.

  14. Separate the fuel feed pipe (1) from the evaporative emission pipe.
