Removal Procedure
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
- Disconnect the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting (1) and the evaporative emission pipe (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service , and Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the fuel tank protector. Refer to Fuel Tank Protector Replacement .
- Remove the fuel feed pressure sensor. Refer to Fuel Pressure Sensor Replacement - Fuel Feed Pipe .
- Disconnect the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting (1) and the evaporative emission pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Plug or cap the fuel feed pipe to prevent fuel loss or contamination.
- Disconnect the brake pipes from the plastic retainers.
- Remove the fuel feed and evaporative emission pipes (1) as an assembly from the vehicle.
- Separate the fuel feed pipe (1) from the evaporative emission pipe.
