Coil Spring Replacement

Preliminary Procedures
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Remove the tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
- Note the orientation tag location on the springs for installation, If no orientation tag is present mark the rear of the springs for installation.

Rear Coil Spring Procedure
- Support the rear axle with a adjustable jack stand.
- Remove the lower shock absorber bolt. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement .
- Using the adjustable jack stands, lower the rear axle to remove the rear coil spring
Tip:
The rear springs are indexed with the colored tag toward the rear of the vehicle. No up/down or side to side orientation is required. |
