Preliminary Procedure Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement .
1	Steering Wheel Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Clean thread of the bolt. Apply locking compound to the thread. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers Tighten 30 N.m (23 lb ft)
2	Steering Wheel Procedure Disconnect electrical connectors as needed. Remove the steering wheel carefully.

Steering Wheel Bolt

CAUTION:

Procedure

Clean thread of the bolt.
Apply locking compound to the thread. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Tighten
30 N.m (23 lb ft)
