Installation Procedure

  1. Engage Retainer (1)
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  3. Install Battery Positive Cable (2) @Generator (3)
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  4. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)

  5. Install Battery Positive Cable (1)
  6. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) @Starter Solenoid (3) and tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Install Battery Negative Cable (1)
  9. Install Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (3) and tighten 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
  10. Engage Retainer (2)

  11. Install Battery Negative Cable (1)
  12. Install Battery Negative Cable Frame Ground Fastener (2) @ Upper Tie Bar Support Stud and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  13. Install Battery Positive Cable (3)
  14. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) and tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  15. Close Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (1)
  16. Install the intake manifold cover. Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LCV)
  17. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
