Adjustment Procedure
- Prior to performing any adjustment affecting the wheel alignment, refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement .
Determine the actual camber, Positive (1) or Negative (2).
- Raise the front of vehicle.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
Loosen the upper (2) and lower (1) steering knuckle camber adjust nuts.
- Rotate the upper steering knuckle camber adjust bolt inward or outward to adjust the front camber. Wheel Alignment Specifications
- Do NOT remove any material from the holes for the adjustment bolts as an alignment aide. If there is difficulty adjusting the camber, check for any excessively worn or damaged suspension components.
- Once the camber adjustment is complete, tighten the steering knuckle camber adjust nuts to specification.
Tighten the upper steering knuckle camber adjust nut (2). Front Suspension Strut Yoke Upper Ball Joint Replacement (GNB)
- Tighten the lower steering knuckle camber adjust nut (1). Front Suspension Strut Yoke Upper Ball Joint Replacement (GNB)
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- After the front camber is within specification, adjust the front toe. Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment .
NOTE:
For accurate readings, do not push or pull on the tire and wheel assembly during the alignment.
