Circuit/System Testing
- Inspect the accessory drive, refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Diagnosis .
- Inspect the drive belt for cracks, wear and contamination.
- If the belt is not OK
Drive Belt - Replace
- Go to next step: If the belt is OK
- If the belt is not OK
- If the DTC resets - Replace the component: A15 Starter/Generator
- If the DTC resets, Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
- Verify no other active DTCs other than low 12V DTCs.
- Read the Hybrid/EV Battery Pack State of Charge parameter using a scan tool.
- If the Hybrid/EV Battery Pack State of Charge is less than 30 percent
Perform the Hybrid/EV Battery Low State of Charge Recovery .
- Go to next step: If Hybrid/EV Battery Pack State of Charge is 30 percent or greater
- If the Hybrid/EV Battery Pack State of Charge is less than 30 percent
- All OK.
NOTE:
A Hybrid/EV Battery Pack with low state of charge may result in a low 12 V battery condition and possible vehicle stall. Always perform the recovery procedure before returning the vehicle to the customer.
