Circuit/System Verification
- Verify that no other DTCs are set.
- If other DTCs are set, diagnose them first. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Start the engine. The engine should start and run.
- If the engine fails to start, or stalls
Diagnose the engine system. Refer to: Engine Cranks But Does Not Run .
- Go to next step: If the DTC is set, and the engine is running smoothly
- If the engine fails to start, or stalls
- Verify the K59 Starter/Generator Control Module has the latest calibration in Calibration Information.
- If the K59 Starter/Generator Control Module does not have the latest calibration
Program the control module: K59 Starter/Generator Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the K59 Starter/Generator Control Module has the latest calibration
- If the K59 Starter/Generator Control Module does not have the latest calibration
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component: K59 Starter/Generator Control Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
