Installation Procedure
- NOTE:
If replacing the starter generator, install the starter generator brace, if equipped.
Starter Generator Brace (2) - Install
- Drive Belt Tensioner Stop Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
- Starter Generator (3) - Install
- Generator Mounting Bolt (1) - Hand tighten [2x]
- Electrical Connector (2) - Connect
Generator Mounting Stud (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Generator Mounting Nut (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Generator Mounting Bolt (3) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Raise and support the vehicle.
Generator Mounting Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Generator Control Module 3-Phase Cable (2) - Install - Generator Control Module 3-Phase Cable Assembly Replacement
Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft-Right Side (1) - Install - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (AWD)Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Right Side (FWD with LHN)
Exhaust Front Pipe (1) - Install - Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LHN)
- Lower the vehicle.
- NOTE:
Plug the drive motor control module radiator outlet hose so coolant will not contaminate any electrical connectors.
Drive Motor Generator Control Module Radiator Inlet Hose (2) @ Starter Generator - Install - Drive Motor Generator Control Module Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LHN)
- NOTE:
Plug the generator control module coolant tank hose so coolant will not contaminate any electrical connectors.

- Drive Belt Secondary Tensioner - Install - Drive Belt Secondary Tensioner Replacement
- Drive Belt Tensioner - Install - Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)
- Enable the high voltage system. High Voltage Enabling

Do not contaminate the connector terminals with coolant fluid.
