Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Transfer Case Replacement - Remove
Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
- { If equipped }Engine Coolant Heater Cord (2) - Disconnect
- Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (3) - Remove
- Battery Positive Cable (4) - Remove
Starter Mounting Nut (1) - Remove
- Starter Mounting Bolt (2) - Remove
- Starter (3) - Remove
