- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Perform the scan tool control function: Rear Body Closure Unlatch - Unlatch
Verify a click can be heard or felt at the component when the scan tool control function was commanded: A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly
- If a click cannot be heard or felt

- Go to next step: If a click can be heard or felt
- If a click cannot be heard or felt
- Operate the component: S46 Liftgate Handle Switch - Pressed
Verify the component produces a clicking sound: A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly
- If a click cannot be heard or felt
