Removal Procedure

  1. Rear Window Wiper Motor - Remove - Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement
  2. Rear End Spoiler - Remove - Rear End Spoiler Replacement
  3. NOTE:
    • Use a window cutting tool to cut adhesive from the rear window.
    • Remove excess adhesive leaving a skim coat of the existing adhesive approximately 0.5 to 2 mm thick on the surface.
    • The cut cured adhesive (skim coat) bead has a 2-hour open time for application of new glass bonding adhesive.
    • The only suitable lubrication is clear water.
  4. Apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of all the painted surfaces.
  5. Start cutting around the window until the locator pins are reached, once reached remove the cutting tool then reinsert cutting tool just passed the locator pin and continue to cut the adhesive.

    With an assistant, remove the 4 locator pins (1) and rear window (2) from the vehicle.

  7. Transfer components as necessary.
