Final Operating Test

If it is desired to make a final operating test of the FLEETWOOD rear heater-air conditioner system connect the Control Tester J-21512 to the rear unit and proceed as follows:

  1. Start engine and turn both front and rear systems ON. The front system must be operating in AUTO and both temperature dials set to 75°.
  2. Move rocker switch on Tester to AUTOMATIC position, set the voltage knob to AMPLIFIER or CONTROL CAL position, and the manual control to 150 position.
  3. Allow 5 minutes for systems to stabilize with doors and windows closed. At this time the Tester meter should read 5.5-7.5 volts.
  4. If improper reading is obtained, check for shorted sensor.
  5. If proper reading is obtained tap the sensors and the amplifier. If needle jumps when unit is taped check that unit for poor connections that will cause an intermittent defect in system's operation.
  6. If a proper reading in step  3) was achieved and all tests made as listed under Testing The FLEETWOOD Rear System  were satisfactory then the system is operating properly.
