Motor & Reduction Gear Assembly

Convertible top motor is located on the rear seat back panel. To remove motor, remove rear seat cushion and seat back. Disconnect motor ground strap and motor support grommets. Disconnect both drive cables from motor reduction unit and wire harness connector. Remove two motor-to-support attaching screws and remove motor. To install, reverse removal procedure. For ease of installation, apply a suitable solvent to grommets before installing. Check operation of motor and top before reinstalling trim.
