Hard Trouble Code E40: Notes

NOTE: If this code is not displayed during second pass of diagnostic codes, it is an intermittent failure and cannot be diagnosed using this procedure.

Trouble code indicates that power steering load has been applied with vehicle traveling above 40 MPH. To begin diagnosis, perform switch tests. If code "E.7.8" does not pass, see CHART E.7.8. If code "E.7.8" passes, then system is okay.
