General Service Precautions

If welding work is to be performed on the vehicle using an electric arc welder, the EBCM and sensor block connectors should be disconnected during the welding operation.

During painting work, the EBCM and sensor block assembly should not be exposed to temperatures in excess of 85°C (185°F) for extended periods of time (greater than 2 hours). The system may be exposed to temperature up to 95°C (200°F) for short periods of time (less than 15 minutes).

The EBCM and sensor block connectors should never be connected or disconnected with the ignition on. Many components of the Anti-Lock Brake System are non-serviceable and must be replaced as assemblies. Do not disassemble any component which is designed as non-serviceable.
