Road Test
- With instrument panel control switch in "OFF" position, drive vehicle at 50 MPH. Depress and release engagement button at end of turn signal lever. System should remain inoperative. Place dash switch in "ON" position. Amber indicator lamp should light.
- Engage system by momentarily pushing turn signal engagement switch button and releasing at 50 MPH. Remove foot from accelerator. Green lamp should light. Vehicle should maintain 50 MPH with foot off accelerator.
- Move slide switch in direction of arrow and hold. Vehicle should slowly accelerate. Release switch at 55 MPH. Speed should remain steady at 55 MPH. Depress brake pedal about 1/2". Green lamp should go off. If so, electric brake switch is okay. Vehicle speed should decrease.
- Allow vehicle to slow to about 45 MPH. Move slide switch in direction of arrow and release. Vehicle should automatically accelerate to 55 MPH, and Green lamp should light.
- Push and hold button all the way in. Green lamp should go off. Coast to 50 MPH. Release button to engage system at 50 MPH. Green lamp should light and vehicle should maintain speed.
