Chart A5 - Injector System Diagnosis

The fuel injectors are powered through 3A injector fuses. The ECM turns on injectors by applying a ground to ECM P2 connector pins D14 and D16 (injector drive circuits). The ECM grounds injector drive circuits to turn on fuel injector to supply fuel to engine. ECM data parameter "ED06" (injector drive circuits), reflects time in milliseconds that ECM turns on ground to injectors for each injector pulse.

NOTE: The following step numbers refer to the numbers in the accompanying flow chart(s).
  1. Injectors will not spray unless ECM receives distributor reference. If code No. "EO12" is current, it must be repaired.
  2. Check for leaking injectors. The injectors should not spray unless engine is cranking or running.
  3. Check for injectors spraying due to electrical fault or leaking injector.
  4. Check for proper fuel pressure to injectors.
  5. Check if "No Spray" condition follows circuit or stays with injector.
