Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) R & I: Installation

With throttle valve in normally closed idle position, install TPS sensor on throttle body assembly. Make sure lever is located above tang on throttle actuator lever. Install retainers and new TPS screws and lock washers.
Tighten screws so TPS will move but is not loose. Use locking compound on threads after TPS adjustment. Install throttle body and reconnect electrical connector. To adjust TPS, see appropriate article in TUNE-UP section.
