Body Computer Module (BCM) Prom: Removal

CAUTION: Using the rocker-type PROM removal tool, engage on end of the PROM carrier with the hook end of the tool. Press on the vertical bar end of the tool and rock this end up as far as possible. Repeat this process until the PROM carrier and PROM are free of the PROM socket. The PROM assembly should lift off the socket easily. Each replacement BCM should contain a new PROM removal tool. Other methods of removal could cause damage to the PROM or PROM socket.

1. Remove BCM. SeeBODY COMPUTER MODULE (BCM)  .
2. Remove PROM access cover.
3. Remove PROM assembly. See Fig 1 .
